The school also receives a Pupil Premium Grant to support children from disadvantaged backgrounds to achieve well. Our spending decisions are informed by research evidence, including the Education Endowment Foundation toolkit.

This outlines a tiered approach: 

• Whole-School approaches – support the quality of teaching, such as staff professional development. 
• Targeted approaches – provide targeted academic support, such as tutoring. 
• Wider strategies – tackle non-academic barriers to success in school, such as attendance, behaviour and social and emotional support.
