If your child has been offered a place in Year 7 for September 2024 or as a mid year joiner; the following information will assist your child with settling into our school

 

Admission policy for 2024/25 academic year

Applying for a place in Years 7-11

If your child is already of secondary school age and you wish to apply for a place in Year 7 to Year 11 in the academic year commencing September 2023, please click on the link below to complete the Mid Year Application form.

The earliest you can apply is the half term before you want your child to start, for instance, if you want your child to start in September, you can apply after the May half term break.

Once submitted it will be sent straight to our admissions department.  

  1. You will also need to arrange for your child’s current or previous school  to complete the form entitled Mid Year Application – previous school to complete, link below.  
  2. Please forward to the school a copy of your child’s birth certificate or passport, any visas or settlement letters showing your right to be in the UK and evidence of your home address to admissions@pmsc.school.

Your application cannot be processed until 1 and 2 are completed.

Open Evening

We warmly invite you to join us for our Open Evening on Thursday, 19th September 2024.

The school will be open from 3.45pm with the first talk at 4.00pm.
 
Between 4.30pm – 6.30pm you will be able to experience the wide range of facilities we are privileged to have at the school, meet our teachers and experience the learning in our different departments. Further talks will take place at 5.00pm and 6:30pm.
 
There will be parking at the school but we encourage parents and carers to walk to the school if they are able to as parking spaces are limited.  Please do not park in neighbouring roads.
 
Open tours during the school day will run on Wednesday and Friday mornings in the weeks of 23rd and 30th September and 7th October.
 
Taster sessions for year 6 students in our local schools are being planned for Tuesday and Thursday mornings in the same weeks as above.
 
Booking forms will be available towards the end of August 2024.
 
How to apply for a Year 7 place for September 2025
Applications are dealt with by Essex County Council.  Please CLICK HERE to view the information on their website and apply.  The school cannot deal with your Year 7 Application, but we can offer you guidance and support if you need it.  Applications will not open until September 2024.  Applications close on the 31st October 2024.
 
The national offer day is 1st March 2025.
 

Year 7 September 2025 intake

Our independent appeal hearing will be held on Wednesday 11th June 2025.  The hearings will be held virtually. 

1 March 2025 is the national offer day for secondary school places for September 2025.  If you have been refused a place and wish to appeal, please complete the appeals from and email, along with suporting evidence to admissions@pmsc.school.

Mid-Year Appeals (for students in Y7-Y11 commencing September 2024-25)
