If your child has been offered a place in Year 7 for September 20234 or as a mid year joiner; the following information will assist your child with settling into our school

Applying for a place in Years 7-11

If your child is already of secondary school age and you wish to apply for a place in Year 7 to Year 11 in the academic year commencing September 2023, please click on the link below to complete the Mid Year Application form.

The earliest you can apply is the half term before you want your child to start, for instance, if you want your child to start in September, you can apply after the May half term break.

Once submitted it will be sent straight to our admissions department.  

  1. You will also need to arrange for your child’s current or previous school  to complete the form entitled Mid Year Application – previous school to complete, link below.  
  2. Please forward to the school a copy of your child’s birth certificate or passport, any visas or settlement letters showing your right to be in the UK and evidence of your home address to admissions@pmsc.school.

Your application cannot be processed until 1 and 2 are completed.

Year 7 September 2024

You should have had notification from Essex County Council of the school your child has been offered on Friday 1st March. 

Students who have received an offer at our school will also receive an email from us on Friday 1st March, along with an electronic form for you to confirm your acceptance or refusal of that offer.  

We ask that you complete and submit that form as soon as possible.  

If you have been offered a place at our school and have not received an email from us, please first check your spam or junk folder and if no email from us, please email admissions@pmsc.school, stating your child’s full name and date of birth and we will look into this for you.  Alternatively, please call 01206 545222 and ask to speak to Ms Clare Bramwell.

If you have recently moved to our area and your child will be starting Y7 in September 2024 and you wish to apply for a school place, please contact Essex County Council who will deal with your late application.  CLICK HERE to access their website.  We are unable to take applications directly from you for Y7 until September 2024.

If you have not been offered a place at our school for Year 7 and you put the school as one of your choices, and wish to appeal that decision,  please see the information on the appeals tab.

Year 7 September 2024 intake

Our independent appeal hearings is scheduled for Wednesday 12th June 2024.  The hearings will be held virtually. 

If you are not offered a place in Year 7 for September 2024, then please complete the appeals form below and submit, along with any paperwork that you wish to be considered to admissions@pmsc.school.  Please submit by Friday 29th March 2024.
