Philip Morant Media Central

Philip Morant Media Central is an extra curricular opportunity where students can

• promote and report to fellow students on everything that takes place in the school community
• be creative by filming news reels and promotional videos for school events as well as writing up articles and creating vlogs
• attend special events like school shows, sports games and concerts with a VIP pass
• gain skills in interviewing and reporting

The club consists of actors – reading out the news reels, reporters – writing articles, conducting interviews and creating videos, photographers – capturing key moments, videographers – filming content, anyone with ideas and a love for the media.

Students can become sports reporters, going to the school teams’ fixtures, completing match reports and interviewing players, coaches and staff. We will also need people to report on general school life such as culture days, school trips, visitors write ups and key topics and themes from throughout the year such as Black History Month, Remembrance, Christmas or Ramadan.

Students attending will be taught all the skills that they will require.
