A Level Results Day 2024

We had a wonderful morning celebrating A level and BTEC Sport results with our year 13 students at Sigma Sixth Colchester on Thursday 15th August.

We’ll start with Tom, our top performer. He has achieved A*, A, A in Health and Social Care, Law and Psychology. An absolutely outstanding achievement having overcome so many challenges. We are so proud. He has been offered a place at the University of Essex to study Psychology.

There have been many successes within our Sports Academy with an overall year on year rise in results. Diddy O’Benjamin achieved D*D*D* in his Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sports Coaching and Development, he is off to the University of Exeter to study Exercise and Sports Science. Kacper Lesniewski, achieving the same grades, is off to the University of East Anglia to study Physiotherapy.

It was a joyful morning for Thalia. She has achieved grades A, B, B in Law, Business Studies and Psychology, and is off to Sheffield University to study Psychology.

Molly was one of the first through the doors on results day. She has achieved A*, B, C in Photography, Media and Business Studies and is moving onto a degree apprenticeship. We are looking forward to hearing more about her future successes.

Illia and Sasha both fled Ukraine in 2022 and were left caught between education systems having not been able to complete secondary education. We waived our entry requirements and offered them the opportunity to study A levels. Both have now completed A levels and have secured places at University. Illia is heading to the University of Essex to study Business and Human Resource Management and Sasha also has a place at Essex University to study Computer Science.

We are so pleased to have helped them on the next stage of their journey whilst we continue to pray for peace in Ukraine.
