On 3rd July, the day before the general election all year groups took part in a mock general election in school, led by students from our Sigma Sixth Global Academy. Student representatives of each of the major political parties outlined the key policies of this party about how they would run the country if they were elected.
Earlier in the year our Sigma Sixth students were involved in the #GiveAnX campaign as part of National Voter Registration Day, so it was great to see them leading younger students in their understanding and helping them to become more politically engaged and aware.
After hearing these key policy summaries, students had the opportunity to ask the party representatives questions before each student cast their vote.
