On Friday 28th June all Year 7-10 students had the opportunity to be involved in trips or alternative activities in school. Here are some of the highlights from the day, with more details still to come…

The first venue for this group was the National Maritime Museum where as well as learning about our seafaring history and epic endeavours, career opportunities in the Antarctic and women’s role in the RNLI, they were also able to visit the awe inspiring Astrophotography Exhibition. The group then went to take on the challenge of climbing the O2, the 360 degree view of London from the top was well worth the initial nerves about scaling the 52 foot high dome.
A group of students visited the Garrison and took part in a number of activities including command tasks, climbing tower, visiting and having a brief on aircraft at Merville Barracks, and visiting the urban training facility.
A group of Year 7 students had a wonderful time at Colchester Zoo
Some Year 7 students had the opportunity to go on a Duke of Edinburgh taster expedition.
Our Sigma Sixth Sports Academy students arranged a varied and inspiring day for our younger students, making use of the facilities available at the Sports Park.
Some of our students had a very energetic time at Jump Street.
Students had an exciting experience at the Natural History Museum. Many had never visited a London museum before and trips day gave us a wonderful opportunity to make this happen.
