As results have been coming in from the local elections we are delighted for the way our Sigma Sixth students responded to the call to register to vote.
Students took part in a national event aimed at inspiring first-time voters and explaining why casting a vote is so important.
The interactive ‘Give An X’ film, held as part of National Voter Registration Day, was shown at the college study centre and college café and encouraged students to discuss the issues that are most important to them.
It was great to see so many students engage in the event which helped them learn the importance of being a responsible citizen and why their vote counts – now and for future generations.
