Between 15th January and 14th February students in their tutor groups have been participating in the UK Youth Parliament “Make Your Mark” campaign which gives young people aged between 11 and 18 the opportunity to vote on the issues that they feel affect them and their peers the most.
The results will influence hundreds of projects and campaigns led by young people, for young people. The UK Youth Parliament use their voice to bring these topics to the attention of the UK Parliament and other decision makers. Topics for students to vote on included education & learning, international relations, transport, crime & safety, and health & wellbeing. In the previous Make Your Mark campaign almost half a million young people voted across the UK and over 780 schools, colleges and youth groups took part.
