STEM Faraday Challenge

Eighteen Year 8 students participated in the STEM Faraday Challenge, run by the Institute of Engineering and Technology on 27th September. This years brief was to use a range of materials and electronics to create a prototype to assist in the long term development of Vertiports, airports where the aircraft take off vertically.

All groups presented their idea at the end of the day to the challenge leader who scored teams on a range of areas including planning, teamwork, development of ideas and presentation skills. The day was a wonderful experience for our students, and they have learned valuable interpersonal and problem solving skills.
